Welcome to Klankveld Music Production & Performance

Klankveld was founded by Marco Deegenaars and makes quality music productions, arrangements and compositions.

Marco is in business since 2002 and as a producer & performer specialized in "Digital Orchestration" (with MIDI controlled samples) using professional (Symphonic) samples in his music productions and in live performance.

As a performer he plays several styles like Classic, Jazz and Pop in different ensembles and productions. He can play many instruments and reads music sheets well which makes him very employable. Specialties: woodwinds like flute and piccolo, Yamaha WX5 (Wind MIDI Controler), piano and keys. This makes him a versatile performer in studio and live music productions.

Ik heb Marco als student leren kennen op de HKU waar hij van mij les kreeg op de wind-midicontroller. Al gauw combineerde hij dit met zijn grote passie: digitaal arrangeren.
Hierbij maakte hij op een zeer expressieve manier veelvuldig gebruik van sampling . Bovendien gebeurde dit alles op een zeer creatieve wijze. Zo herinner ik me dat hij op z'n eindexamen o.a. een stuk van Telemann speelde in een (digitaal)arrangement en sounddesign in een bigbandbezetting.
Zover mij bekend was hij in het 3e jaar al druk in de weer met enkele medestudenten "ProjectSAM" op te richten wat behalve het onderstrepen van zijn ondernemingsgeest ook nog een eclatant succes bleek. Later mocht ik ook hier een steentje aan bijdragen in de vorm van het inspelen van samples voor fluit.

Dat hij uiteindelijk cum laude slaagde kwam dan ook niet geheel als een verrassing (voor de docenten dan).
Nadien heb ik hem dan ook gevraagd de digitale live-orkestratie en de arrangementen zowel voor CD als de live uitvoering van het Beatleproject "SGT Paeper" ter hand te nemen en de volledige orkestpartituur hiervan ook live op wind-midicontroller en key's met sampling uit te voeren. (Zomerparkfeest Venlo 15000 bezoekers).

Voor onze bladmuziekuitgeverij ChorusOnline hebben we met een prettige samenwerking met Marco. Marco maakt op vraag orkestbanden die aan onze klanten (koren) worden aangeboden bij een bestelling.

Het gegeven dat hij naast een goede technicus ook muzikant is maakt het communiceren makkelijk; hij begrijpt wat we willen en kan dat omzetten naar klank.

Biography

Marco Deegenaars

Marco Deegenaars (27-10-1976) started his business in 2002 with Deegenaars Music. After a couple of years he founded Klankveld BV on April 6 2009. Marco becomes interested in music at the age of nine. He started playing Electronic Organ and on June 13th 1985 he becomes a member of the Show & Marchingband Kunst & Genoegen (K&G) Leiden where he learned to play the Piccolo. Since 1999 he also learned himself to play the Flute.

In 1993 Marco started studying Jazz Piano at the School of Music in Leiden. He has a nice career as a Piano and Keyboard player. From 1998 till 2000 he played Piano at different restaurants in Leiden and the years after that keyboard in musicals which gave him a great experience in performance.

After his graduation at the MAVO (1993) and MTS Electronics (1999) he started studying Music Technology at the School of Arts Utrecht, Faculty of Art, Media and Technology in Hilversum. In September 2009 he started the studie BMus (Bachelor of Music) in Production and Performance and MA Sound and Music Production. He learned to play the elektronic Saxophone (WX5) from Flute player Martijn Alsters and learns to compose, arrange and produce music with professional studio equipment. In June 2004 he graduates With Honours as BMus in Music Production and Performance.

In September 2002 he teamed up with composer Maarten Spruijt www.maartenspruijt.com and singer-songwriter Vincent Beijer www.phinx.nl founding ProjectSAM. ProjectSAM is a music company which mainly developes professional Orchestral Sample Libraries. ProjectSAM has become an innovative company which is well known in the Professional Orchestral Sample market. For more info please visit www.projectsam.com

Besides ProjectSAM he workes as a freelance producer and performer and owns a music Studio in Alphen aan den Rijn. From November 2002 till 2007 he worked as a flute instructor at Show & Marchingband Amigo Leiden and is playing regularly in a wide selection of ensembles and orchestras of musicals and operettes.

Since May 2002 he started working with composer and performer Harry de Wit who composes music for "Music Theatre", film and TV. In this projects he works regularly as an musician and is responsable for all the arrangements and music scores.
